Special Olympics Soccer Tournament!!!

I love hanging out with the athletes! They are amazing!!
                                                            She was such a sweetheart!!!
                                            The wonderful Special Olympics staff/volunteers!!!

They were testing the athletes flexibility! I even did it myself!! I have better balance then I thought ; )

The wonderul Marissa Roy, Miss Danish Festival!!
One of my favorite things about the Special Olympics is getting all of the big hugs and kisses!! :)
Special Olympics just added this part to the program so even younger kids can get involved! How great!!
                                                                         Eating lunch!!
The athletes were so sweet! They wanted us to sign their ribbons on their medals!! :)

It was such an honor to be able to award some of the athletes throughout the day!

The kids are truly amazing! And so much fun to be around!! :)
The team won their last game and they did such an amazing job!! It was close 2-1!!
It was such an honor to be a part of the Special Olympics!! As some of you may already know that this is not the first time I have been involved with the program! In 2008 I went to both the Winter and Summer Olympics!! I always enjoy being a part of this wonderful organization!! The kids continue to inspire me with their passion, drive, and sportsmanship!! They are also SO happy for the other teams when they win and to me they are all truly winners for being there!!
I have recently found out that Best Bones Forever (my platform) is in the process of trying to team up with Special Olympics so we can keep stressing the importance of staying healthy, and its great that these kids are already doing that!! So I hope that this will all come together!! If Best Bones Forever was not my platform, Special Olympics would be in a heart beat!! But how great would it be if they can both come together! That would be a dream come true for me!!
These kids continue to show me so much support on my journey for Miss Michigan!! It was overwhelming how excited they were for me when they heard that I will be competing!!
I'm so excited to contiue to stay involved with the program as much as possible!!
Congratulations to all of the athletes, like I said, YOU ARE ALL WINNERS!! :)

Special Olympics Opening Ceremony!!!!

Signing autographs!! I even ran out so we had to print a ton more!! I think I signed about 200+!!

I knew Vallory when I went to the Winter and Summer Olympics in 2008!! It was a huge and wonderful reunion for us!! I got a little teary eyed!!
He is one of the National medalists for Special Olympics!! :)
The huge line for my autograph! What an honor for me!!

                                                                       Being introduced!!
He was so funny!! He told everyone about how I will be competing for Miss Michigan and that I'll be bringing that crown home next year!! If it's God's will then I will recieve the wondeful job! But it was so sweet how much support I recieved from the athletes when they went crazy after hearing that!! Of course later the Mayor said I would win it and then bring home the Miss America crown too! Haha!! Thank you everyone for your support, it means the world to me!!!
                                                                The Mayor of Warren!
The president of the Michigan Special Olympics, Lois!!
We all danced the night away which was so much fun!!

Friday night, Oct 15th I atteneded the Special Ol;ympics opening ceremonies which also included a dinner/dance!!! It was wonderful having a big reunion with those that I had met from the 2008 Summer and Winter Olympics!! The opening ceremonies were wonderful where they announced the sponsors and me as a special guest!! As I said earlier, I recieved so much love and support for my journey to Miss Michigan!! I will do my best when I am there and I can't wait!! Hopefully this year doesn't fly by too fast though! ;) After all of the important news was done we all danced the night away! I even had the chance to dance to the cupid shuffle on stage to help the crowd dance to the music!! It was so much fun!! Th kids love being a part of this and to get themselves excited and ready for their games!!

Teen Vogue interview in New York City!!!

At Teen Vogue's main office!!! How cool!?!?

I had such a wonderful opportunity to speak to Teen Vogue on September 30th after the Luncheon!!! We spoke alot about fashion and how we can incoporate Best Bones Forever with Teen Vogue!! I spoke to her about my future plans with speaking to schools in a skelegirl costume!! We are planning on having a huge contest to design my future skelegirl costume!! It may not happen this year like we hoped, but hopefully for next year! It will bring a ton of information about Best Bones and my involvement with MAO and BBF!! When I find out when the contest is I will let you know!!!

Detroit's Most Photogenic Babies!!

With former Miss Michigan 2009, Nicole, and Beaumont volunteer, Katie!!

Announcing the runners-up and winners of each category!! Some kids have such unique names and they were tough to pronounce!! : )

Laughing as we butchered names!!
One of the overall winners!!

She was the little girl who I judged at the National American Miss pageant!!
Proudly showing me their trophies!!

We redheads have to stick together!! Oh and that's my Venom tattoo from the night before, don't worry I don't have any real ones haha!!

This little girl was so cute whenever she smiled! I loved making her laugh!!

Notice the CMN logo? All proceeds of this event went to CMN!! Yay!!!

I had so much fun at the Detroit's Most Photogenic Baby contest!! These kids were SOOO beautiful!!! Everyone received a trophy and some won overall categories in either: Beautiful, Precious, Comical, Fashionable, and Overall. There was a voters choice winners and the judges choice winners (the judges were from modeling/talent agencies.)

This was a CMN event and Detroit raised over $10,000 for the Beaumont hospital in Troy!!! They raised more money this year than the year before!! It's great that this event is growing!! Each entry was $35 and they had professional pictures done that were absolutely adorable!! Every single one of the contestants were winners, they were all so cute!!!

It was also great to be able to announce the winners! I have never had to read off a list of names like that and so many children had such unique names!! I had a lot of fun sharing this event with former Miss Michigan Nicole Bla
