Being escorted to the After Glow party!
My Second Runner Up Joelle Gnotek
(it was her very first pageant and she was outstanding!!)
The beautiful and incredible Miss Michigan Katie LaRouche!!! <3
Saturday evening, July 10th 2010, I was crowned the new Miss Oakland County!! It is truly a dream come true!! I have been competing for the Miss America program since I was 13 years old! Through my hard work and dedication, as well as all of the support and love from so many people I have finally won a local title! Words can't fully describe how honored I am to be able to fill the responsibilities and opportunities that this year will provide. I will stay as involved with the community and state as possible because community serivce is very important to me!
I was not only blessed with the title of Miss Oakland County, but I also recieved the Aldo Vagnozzi Community Service Award, the Kirsten Haglund Swimsuit award, the Kelly Garver - Nieto Talent Award, and the Miss America Scholar Award. I am so honored to have recieved all of these awards and the scholarship money will be extremely helpful with my college tuition!
I am so proud of all the girls that competed this year! Some of them have never competed before and they did a fantastic job! I hope to continue my friendship with each and every one of them! I know God has something great in store for each of them! Throughout the weekend we all had so many stories and jokes! We were all there to support each other and that's what true pageant sisters do!
Throughout the pageant I felt great in every aspect of the competition! I didn't know how it was going to end up, but all that I prayed for was that I did my best and that's all that really matters! I still can't believe that I will be representing Miss Oakland County at Miss Michigan in June of 2011!! I am so excited and I can't wait to start all of the preparation for the pageant! My hope is to make a positive impact on my community and I will always continue to strive to be the best role model I can be!
I am so excited to work with the outstanding MOC director Francesca! She is a wonderful person and I have known her for many years through pageantry! I know we will have an extremely fun and fulfilling year together!! And I can't wait to see what the future holds for us! :)
Thank you again to every single person who has been by my side through all of the years of competition! It has been a long jounrey, but I am so excited that I am beginning this new path as Miss Oakland County!!
Much love to you all!! :) *mwah
