Sunday afternoon, Novemeber 21st I was able to attend the Miss Capital City pageant in Lansing!! I competed there last year and a had a terrific time! It was nice to sit back this time and feel the excitement to watch a new girl be crowned and to join us at Miss Michigan! Congratulations to Lanaya Hass who captured the crown!! All of the contestants were amazing and so very talented!
It was great to see our Miss Michigan, Katie LaRouch, dance so beautifully and speak so eloquently as she emceed the pageant! Hats off to Deb Zale and her staff for putting on another fabulous pageant!!
One of the highlights of the evening was when Drew, a favorite of the Miss Michigan family, was surprised by Shelley Taylor with a free trip to Miss America in January, along with his parents! I don't think there was a dry eye in the house! That is what the Miss America Organization is all about!!
