Sparrow Hospital Telethon!!

On June 4th I had the opportunity to travel to Sparrow Hospital, in Lansing, to answer telephones to recieve donations for the Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals as well as personally spending time with the kids in the very fun playroom! It was a humbling experience and an honor to have been there. We had permission to take pictures with the kids and we had several different activities for them to be involved with: nail polish/painting, making a picture frame, and even making jewlery!! I spent most of the time getting to know little Ruby! She is such a fighter and her prognosis looks very good for a complete recovery! She loved trying on my crown and I loved painting her nails and making a frame for our picture! These little ones are so ill, but their spirits are not!! They smile, laugh, play, and enjoy every minute they can! We can all take a lesson from them that when things may not be going our way we can still be pleasant, with a positive attitude, and have a smile that lights up a room! Thank you Sparrow Hospital for allowing me to be involved in the telethon and sharing special time with the children!!
